Terms of Service

DRAFT โ€” not yet reviewed by a lawyer and not in effect. This page is a placeholder that describes how the DoiHouse app works today, as a starting point for legal review. It is not legal advice and is not a final agreement.

Effective date: [to be set when approved]

Lawyer to write the full terms. The sections below summarise the app’s current rules so the final terms match how it actually works.

What DoiHouse is

DoiHouse is a marketplace app. Customers post home jobs; workers choose which jobs to apply for; customers choose a worker.

Lawyer to write: the relationship between DoiHouse, customers and workers. Workers set their own rate and choose their own jobs and schedule โ€” worker classification needs legal advice.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. In Phase 1, customers need a home address in the Bowling Green or Toledo, Ohio launch area. Workers need an approved profile (and, before launch, a clear background check).

Booking and payment

Problems and disputes

Either side can report a problem in the app before the payment is released. The payment stays on hold while DoiHouse reviews it; we may refund the customer in full or in part and decide what the worker is paid.

Lawyer to write: dispute process, limits of DoiHouse’s role, and what happens after release.

Reviews

After a completed job, both sides may leave a review within 14 days. Reviews can’t be edited and must be honest and about the job.

Rules

Lawyer to write: prohibited conduct, safety, taking jobs off the platform, account suspension, liability, insurance, indemnity, governing law (Ohio?), and how these terms change.
